Developing the key competencies in classical studies

Classical studies challenges students and teachers to draw on and develop key competencies in a variety of contexts so that they become successful, lifelong learners. Essentially, the key competencies are fostered through the teaching approaches, strategies, and activities that teachers use in the classical studies classroom.

For examples of how learning experiences specifically address the key competencies, refer to the four mechanisms that facilitate learning in classical studies.
