DT and HM Online for NCEA

DT & HM Online for NCEA are specialised online modules to assist teachers, kaiako, and students with NCEA. 

The Ministry of Education has worked with Auckland University to develop online learning modules to support the new Digital Technologies and Hangarau Matihiko curriculum content for those at the senior secondary levels. The modules are for use by teachers and students. Please see below for registration and access information.

Level 2 modules:

  • 91898: Demonstrate understanding of a computer science concept 
  • 91899: Present a summary of developing a digital outcome
  • 91890: Conduct an inquiry to propose a digital technology outcome 
  • 91897: Use advanced processes to develop a digital technologies outcome 

Level 1 modules:

  • 91886: Demonstrate understanding of human-computer interaction
  • 91886: Te Tangata me te Rorohiko (Human Computer Interaction)
  • 91887: Demonstrate understanding of compression coding for a chosen media type
  • 91887: Whakaatu māramatanga o te tuhiwaehere kōpeketanga mō tētahi momo pāpāho kua whiriwhiria  (Compression coding)
  • 91880: Develop a digital media outcome
  • 91885: Demonstrate understanding of searching and sorting algorithms

Register for the NCEA online modules

From 2023 the DT & HM Online for NCEA modules are on the Ministry of Education's LMS platform.  A login is required for access.

To access these resources:

  • complete the registration form below
  • send the form to training.services@education.govt.nz

Once this form has been completed, the registrations will be processed. You and your students will be sent an introductory email from Training Services with a link to the resources and an explanation of how to access them.
