The following sample programmes are linked to external assessment by achievement standards (in agricultural and horticultural science, science, technology, and geography). Programmes can equally well be linked to unit standards offered via a range of ITOs (Industry Training Organisations).
These programmes are examples only, designed to help teachers visualise how they might go about planning their own programme. Teachers should select contexts that will maximise student engagement and make full use of the particular opportunities afforded by their own local area and community.
