Using: Students use relevant examples to support explanations.

Including: Students include business knowledge or a Māori business concept.

Example

The local convenience store has to pay its employees on time because the pay period will be stated in their contract. The contract between the local convenience store and their employees’ states they will be paid weekly.

Excellence

Fully explaining: Students make connections between facts and theory and may discuss impacts, effects or consequences on the business.

Integrating: Students integrate relevant examples to fully support explanations; students integrate business knowledge or a Māori business concept.

Example

The local convenience store has to pay its employees on time because the pay period will be stated in their contract. The contract between the local convenience store and their employees’ states they will be paid weekly. If they don’t pay their employees on time they may be taken to court for breaching the contract. The employees may also get upset which may have a negative impact on their work at the convenience store.
