Principles, values, and key competencies
The learning area of mathematics and statistics is underpinned by the principles and values of The New Zealand Curriculum.
The mathematics and statistics classroom provides opportunities for creating a rich learning environment where all students learn to learn and are encouraged to have high expectations.
In all mathematics and statistics learning experiences there are opportunities to develop the key competencies.
